The University of Hawai`i - West O`ahu is committed to continuous improvement in all areas of our campus. One measure of our commitment is our engagement in the WASC accreditation process. We first received WASC accreditation in February, 1981 and have been successful in all subsequent reviews. Provided on our website are resources that will help you better understand that process and learn how you may participate in and benefit from it.

The WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) Review is a six-year cycle and is divided into three stages:
  • Institutional Proposal
  • Capacity and Preparatory Review (Due 2011)
  • Educational Effectiveness Review (Due 2013)

For more information about the accreditation process, please visit the WASC (Senior Schools Commission) website at http://wascsenior.org

If you have any comments or questions about the WASC accreditation process, please contact Dr. Pat Masters at (808) 454-4835 or pmasters@hawaii.edu
